I love this little church it is so quaint. The view from the window is of the amazing blue Lake Tekapo. The church takes on a different look each season.

butterfly gap filler

Another gap filler around the city. This one is on a corner site at Barbadoes & Worcester Sts. There was an old terraced house there which had butterflies on it. The house was pulled down and the gap filler project came in and brightened up this space. You can sit at the chairs and look around at the brightly coloured signs and posts.

goodbye to the convention centre

The convention centre was demolished in early April and it came down so fast. The main reason it had to be demolished was because of the floors being split. It was a modern building so I was surprised to see it on the demolition list. Some of the other shots are from Peterborough St; the old Med Lab building and the Price Waterhouse Coopers building which are both on the demolition list. Also a few buildings on the corner of Manchester and Kilmore Sts are coming down. There are a few before shots included.

shag rock

gap filler

I stumbled across this gap filler in the city. The gap filler projects are all around the city to fill up all the gaps that are left by demolished buildings. There are some great creative ideas that bring a little joy to the city. This one is called ‘Dance-O-Mat’. You put money into the old washing machine and it plays 30 mins of music. canterbury runway show

These gorgeous guys and girls were modelling the latest winter fashion collections from Jane Daniels, Morgan & Page and Urban Surf at the Ellerslie Flower Show. I love, love, love these designs (did I say love ) especially some of the winter coats. The variety of colours that were coming down the runway were eye catching.
